Video Blog from Newred Hobbies (22 5.0 DC and 22-4 2.0)

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to share a video I did from this past weekend’s practice day at Newred Hobbies. In this video, I cover some questions from my Facebook page (#22empire) and showcase some practice laps of my TLR 22 5.0 DC. I also sit down with TLR’s Erik Everett again; this time we talk the  22-4 2.0 in regards to gearing and set-up that he has found works best. I’m off to www.gshobby.com in Fort Smith/Barling, Arkansas for their 7th annual Judge Race this weekend. Look for anther video from this event as I catch up with other TLR team members and racers at this great yearly event.

Front wing options for the TLR 22 5.0

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to share the front wing options you have for the TLR 22 5.0.  TLR has released a new low front wing with mount (TLR330010) along with two different high front wings (TLR230014 and TLR230015). I asked the #22empire for some input on the difference between a low and high mounted front wing and here are some of the key items people have found. Most of the conversation was about the durability; people running the low mounted wing had wings last longer over wings mounted higher. Second most popular was the performance; a lot of people like the overall feel of the low wing over the high as it gives the car a good amount of steering and jumping stability. The higher front wing for people seems to be on the more aggressive feel of things. So, if you’re looking for different front wing options, TLR has you covered!

Lake Park RC interview with Erik Everett

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to share an interview I had with long time racer and TLR driver here in Florida, Erik Everett, at Lake Park RC for round three of the FORCE series. Erik is a 1/10th racer at heart, but he just recently got into nitro racing.  He is also the soul of the body painting company, EZ customs.  We talk about the LOSI Heavy-Duty Differential Case (LOSB3528) that we’ve been running for a couple of weeks now. I have included video of Erik on the track along with some extra conversation about tires for racing here in Florida.

Shock oil CST

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to share that TLR has now added each oil’s CST on their shock oil bottles. Below I have added a chart of our most popular weights and their CST.

A centistokes (cSt) is a decimal fraction of the CGS unit of kinematic viscosity stokes, which is equal to centimeter per second (cm²/s). 1 stokes is a kinematic viscosity of a fluid with a density of 1 g/cm³ and a dynamic viscosity of 1 poise.
