1/8th European Championships Day 1 Report

1/8th European Championships Day 1 Report

Today was the first run on the large European track in Austria.  I was really shocked at the speeds of the cars over here in Europe.  You have to be full throttle all the time and just let it all hangout!  Today was two free rounds of practice which went well for all of the TLR guys.  there was not real fire drills as everyone was very ready for the championship.  The whole team was very satisfied with there cars and did not make many changes other then a harder tire for round two.  This was do to the track coming around very nice as the horrible dust from round one was brushed off which allowed the grip to come up.  There was a little bit of the track breaking up in some sections but for today it was not to bad.  We are really hoping that they will put a good amount of water down on the track tonight to help hold the track together for tomorrow.  If this don't happen we could see the track change a lot throughout the day tomorrow and could play a big roll in how the track will hold up throughout the event.  All in all today was a really good start for Darren taking round one fastest three laps and Miguel running the most consistent.  In round two Darren would go 3rd fastest with Miguel still staying very consistent and both drivers looking very good to challenge any race for the win this weekend.   Look for more updates tomorrow and I hope I will be able to get some better wifi so I can post some videos that I have put together.
