Ride Height

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to talk ride height and how to check it properly. First you want to make sure you’re on a pretty flat surface. Second make sure you have a good ride height gauge like TLR, Losi (LOSA99173), and JConcepts (JCO22821) and set your gauge to the desired ride height. Third you want to drop your car from about a foot high onto your flat surface to get the car to settle correctly. Fourth check ride height to know if your car needs to be lowered or raised up to meet your ride height number you have on your gauge.

TLR Cup Race one Info

TLR is proud to announce that the first round of the TLR Cup will be held at the Horizon Hobby RC Fest with over $7000.00 in CASH and PRIZES!

Round one will take place in Monticello, IL on June 1st – 3rd during the Horizon Hobby RC Fest and it will be a 1/8 Scale only event with Nitro Buggy, Nitro Truggy and E-Buggy. Not only will there be over $7000.00 in cash and prizes, the race will have a unique two day race format for more track time. Race Format

The race format will be run as a full race day with qualifying and mains on Saturday and a full race day with qualifying and mains on Sunday. Awards will be based on the drivers score from each day using the motocross points system.

Qualifying: (will be run each day)

Two 6 (six) minute qualifiers for all nitro and electric classes

Mains: (will be run each day)

E-Buggy / A Main = 10 (ten) minutes / All other mains = 6 (six) minutes

-Sportsman Buggy & Truggy / A Main = 25 (twenty-five) minutes / B Main = 15 (fifteen) minutes / C Main = 15 (fifteen) minutes / All other mains = 10 (ten) minutes

-Expert Buggy & Truggy / A Main = 30 (thirty) minutes / B Main = 20 (twenty) minutes / C Main = 15 (fifteen) minutes / All other mains = 10 (ten) minutes

Camber

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to touch base on camber. First, you will need a good camber gauge to make sure you're getting the precise measurement. TLR, Losi (LOSA99172), and JConcepts (JCO22831) all have great camber gauges for the most accurate readings. Second, make sure your vehicle is at the correct ride height before checking/setting camber. Third is setting camber; a good starting point for most conditions is -1. A good rule of thumb with camber is less camber (going to 0 or +1) gives you more side grip in lower traction conditions, and more camber (going to -2 or more) gives you less side grip in higher traction conditions.
