Team Losi Racing 22-4 Slipper & Diff Video

Todd Hodge talk Slipper and Diff setting on the TLR 22-4 buggy.  He talks about the correct setting for the 22-4 and what different adjustments can do for the handling of the car on the race track.  

Tech Tip – TLR 22-4 (One-Way Clicker Assembly)

Before assembling your new one-way clicker assembly, or if you are experiencing some binding in the assembly, here is a simple modification.

Step 1: Take a Scotch Brite pad and remove the black anodizing from the slipper shaft (TLR232022) on the clicker side, see figure 1. Once completed, the shaft should be a metallic color and have a smooth finish, see Figure 2.

Step 2: Using TLR black Grease, place a small amount on the clicker gear, and gently spread between all teeth, see Figure 3.  Note: only a very small amount is needed, as you just want a small film-like coating layer to prevent the clicker from binding under load. 

 

 

Step 3: Apply a small drop of oil (bearing oil works well) on the slipper shaft and work-in using your fingers, see Figure 4. 

 

 

 

Step 4: Assemble the clicker assembly, see Figure 5, and if needed remove any excess grease between the clicker teeth.

Step 5: Complete and seal your vehicle and enjoy your TLR 22-4!

16mm Spring Rate Chart

Hello Racers!

We've had a few questions about the specifics of the 8IGHT-T 3.0 Spring Rates, so I created a spring chart for all 16mm Spring, including those for the 8IGHT 3.0 and 8IGHT-E 3.0.  The chart includes the rate (lb/in), color, part number, and overall length in MM.

Drake wins TLR Winter Series at Revelation Raceway

Round 1 of the Team Losi Racing Winter Series was this past weekend at Revelation Raceway.  TLR, Nova Rossi, Pro-Line driver Adam Drake Tq’ed both rounds of qualifying in 1/8^th expert buggy and truck.  Drake checked out in the 25 minute buggy final and won by two laps.  Drake used Nova Rossi’s Keep Off 4 engine to power his TLR 8ight 3.0 buggy and Pro-Line M4 Holeshot 2.0’s were the tire of choice for qualifying and the final.  In the 20 minute truck final Drake powered away from the competition with Nova Rossi’s Keep Off 7 engine and Pro-Line M3 Holeshots.  Drake’s 8ight T 3.0 set-up is available at http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Files/TLR04001-Adam_Drake_Standard_Setup_Sheet.pdf
