Tumbleweed Classic 2008

Hello all,

Myself and Dustin Evans leave today for the Tumbleweed Classic hosted by ARCOR in Albaquerque, New Mexico. This is an awesome race that the ARCOR crew hosts annually. The track is very nice and the facility top notch. They hosted the ROAR electric off-road nationals in 2007. Me and Dustin will both be racing Modified 2wd, 4wd, and Truck. Tomorrow will be practice and Saturday qualifying. This is an awesome race that I have attended for the last few years and would suggest it to anyone looking for a great race!

Action packed weekend of racing.

This weekend is round #5 of the Southern CA. Nitro Series at Hemet R/C. It will be good to get back to The Dirt for some racing. Ronda and I are planning on going to Pomona for the CORR off-road race on Sunday.

Have a great weekend!

Matt Chambers

My name is Matt Chambers. I am 23 years old and I live in Denver, CO. I am a recent college grad and excited to have more time to race. Hoping to make my way to California soon. I have raced for Team Losi for four years. I enjoy racing anything off-road and my favorite classes are Modified 2wd and 1/8 buggy. My favorite part of r/c car racing is the speed, excitement, and competition. Thanks to Team Losi for all the support.

Manufacturers Cup

This past weekend was one of the best races that i have attended in awhile for our industry. The Manufacturers Cup in Cuoer de Lane Idaho brought a grandstands full of people to watch RC racing. Team Losi had another good weekend. We had Tom Waggoner bring home the win with his 8ight-T in the sportsman truggy class and earned himself a well deserved sponsorship with Team Losi. Welcome to the team. As for myself, I had another great weekend with my GRP/Nitrotane powered 8ight and 8ight-T. In the truggy class i had a rough time in qualifying with technical difficulties in both the second and third round putting me into the C main after qualifying was over. I managed to bump all the way into the final and finished second. In the buggy class Adam was on fire in qualifying putting in solid runs that tied him for the overall TQ. In the final after a rough start for adam i found myself running in second. I ended up winning the 60 lap final by 5 seconds and brought home the grand prize of the Honda CRF 450r. Now it is time to get ready for the Electric Off Road Nationals at Hot Rod Hobbies.
